London loves nothing more than a good march…we’re good at them. Yesterdays ‘March For Refugees’ was no exception – other than the sheer number of people in attendance. I wouldn’t make a guess, but there was a lot of like-minded people on the streets yesterday. Looking at the news today however, you wouldn’t know – a great pity – but the power of social media is immense. This was proof.
Everyone has an opinion. I have mine – and I believe we can do more. I have concerns, as most do, but the footage of a little boy swept up on Greek beach ripped my heart out.
We have more than they have. We have room. We must help. Auntie Angela has done her bit, Weird Uncle Francois wants to, but his family wont let him – so this leaves Dave. Rich, privileged Bullingdon Dave. Maybe the recent addition of the Leftie cousin Jeremy will trigger a fit of fairness – but lets not hold our breath.
